Pan-regional broadcaster Eurosport has secured exclusive live television and digital rights for this year’s Tour of Poland cycling race.
The deal for the UCI World Tour event relates to all of Eurosport's 70 territories across Europe and Asia-Pacific, with the exception of the host nation where its rights are non-exclusive.
Starting on August 3 from Solidarity Square in Gdansk, the 71st Tour of Poland concludes with a time trial in Krakow on August 9. All stages will be broadcast live on Eurosport and Eurosport 2, with PC, mobile tablet and connected television coverage available through Eurosport Player – the group's simulcast online television service.
The Tour of Poland completes Eurosport’s UCI World Tour offering this season which is comprised of 24 out of the 29 scheduled races, including the three Grand Tours of the Giro d’Italia, Tour de France and Vuelta a Espana.
Poland’s Rafal Majka (pictured), who claimed the King of the Mountains jersey after winning two stages in the 2014 Tour de France, is among the local riders to race the event.
