The Fox International Channels (FIC) Latin America broadcast subsidiary of media company 21st Century Fox has announced the launch of Fox Sports 2 in Brazil, its second pay-television sports channel in the country.
The channel will begin broadcasting on Friday (tomorrow).
Fox Sports 2 will only be available via the GVT and Neo TV pay-television operators at its launch, but carriage talks are ongoing with operators such as Net and Sky, according to the Maquina do Esporte news service.
Fox International Channels Latin America also plans to launch new sports channels in Colombia and Uruguay in the first quarter of 2014.
Fox Sports Brasil launched two years ago.
