Géraldine Filiol has been appointed as the new deputy managing director for international communications, marketing and external relations at pan-regional sports broadcaster Eurosport.
Filiol replaces Heather Bowler, who is leaving Eurosport after seven years to become senior vice-president of communications at the Women’s Tennis Association.
Filiol steps into the new role after having worked for Eurosport for 19 years – most recently as deputy managing director for rights acquisitions. She also spent three years as managing director of Eurosport Events.
Filiol said: “We have always enjoyed excellent relationships with our partners and I look forward to developing them further in line with our strategic objectives.”
