FIS advances centralisation plan with hires of IMG’s Salomon, sponsorship executive Kraus

The International Ski Federation (FIS) has advanced its controversial plans to centralise commercial rights to its World Cup series with the dual appointment of IMG’s Christian Salomon and former Allianz global football sponsorship head Oliver Kraus.

Salomon, who has been with IMG for close to 14 years, has been named chief commercial director of the new in-house FIS Marketing and Media (FIS M&M) entity. Kraus has been recruited as director of global partnerships.
