Fox Sports Taiwan picks up rights to Asia Winter Baseball

The Fox Networks Group division of 21st Century Fox has acquired exclusive rights to the World Baseball Softball Confederation-sanctioned Asia Winter Baseball league in Taiwan.

Fox Sports Taiwan will broadcast coverage of games to audiences in the tournament’s host country.

The 2016 Asia Winter Baseball League will feature a total of six teams, including the Chinese Taipei national team that won the most recent edition of the event last year.

Also due to compete is a team comprising players from the Chinese Professional Baseball League, as well as a Korea Baseball Organisation side, two clubs from the Nippon Professional Baseball League in Japan, and a European team made up of players from countries across the continent.

The competition will run from November 25 to December 18.
