Fox Sports Taiwan picks up Uni-Lions baseball games

Pay-television channel Fox Sports Taiwan has acquired rights for Chinese Professional Baseball League games featuring the Uni-Lions team.

The deal covers all of the Uni-Lions’ home games against rival Lamigo-Monkeys for the remainder of the current season.

Fox Sports Taiwan already has rights for North American Major League Baseball and the Japanese Nippon Professional Baseball tournament.

The coverage will be available in standard and high definition.

Joanne Tsai, the executive vice-president and managing director for Taiwan and China at Fox International Channels, said: “With Fox Sports being part of the Fox International Channels, we will leverage the promotional resources of being part of a larger multi-genre network to drive even more viewership of Uni-Lions games and the CPBL.”
