Fox Sports teams up with Street League Skateboarding

The Fox Sports division of US media company 21st Century Fox has agreed a multi-year rights partnership with Street League Skateboarding.

Under the terms of the deal, the first-ever professional league for street skateboarding will receive live broadcasts on US pay-television channel Fox Sports 1, as well as global distribution through the Fox family of networks.

The SLS features 22 of the world’s leading skateboarders and was founded in 2010. Each event of the 2014 season will air live on Fox Sports 1, with a live international webcast on the Streetleague.com platform.

SLS founder Rob Dyrdek said: “To have a media partner that truly believes in skateboarding as a stand-alone sport poised for long-term growth means the world to our business and the ability to grow the Street League audience moving forward.”
