Free TV Sports Markets webinar on sports consumption trends on October 31

The TV Sports Markets webinar on the latest developments in the consumption of sports media by fans across the globe, Understanding the Changing Habits of Sports Viewers in a Digital World, will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, October 31, at 2pm GMT.

The webinar will feature three expert panellists: Oliver Slipper, the joint chief executive of digital media specialists Perform Group; Jeff Nathenson, head of football for YouTube Sport; and Michael Leavey, the general manager of the Arsenal Media Group, the digital media division of Premier League football club Arsenal. Nathenson is replacing Stephen Nuttall, who had originally been scheduled to take part.

The webinar, presented by TV Sports Markets in association with Perform Group, draws on some of the key findings of the Global Sports Media Consumption Report 2012, a report published earlier this year by TV Sports Markets, the Perform Group and Kantar Sport.

The webinar, which will be introduced by Frank Dunne, editor of TV Sports Markets, will be an invaluable source of opinion, information and insight for all decision-makers in the sports broadcasting industry.

The key themes are:

■ the continuing growth of the internet as a platform for sport;

■ the continuing growth in the use of mobile devices to consume sport;

■ the rapid growth of social networking sites as sports platforms;

■ the complementary/symbiotic relationship between digital platforms and traditional linear TV viewing;

■ the future landscape for sports broadcasting.
