FuboTV has continued to expand its reach in the United States by securing exclusive streaming rights to a number of Uefa competitions, including selected matches from the 2024 and 2028 European Championships, via a six-year sublicense deal with Fox Sports.

The deal, which runs through 2028, kicks off with the Uefa Nations League in June. It also includes select matches of European qualifiers for Euro 2024 and Euro 2028, European qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup and Uefa-controlled friendly matches.

The agreement also includes five matches of Euro 2024 and Euro 2028. Matches will be streamed on Fubo Sports Network.

“Soccer has always been integral to fuboTV’s DNA,” said David Gandler, fuboTV co-founder and chief executive. “Today’s announcement of our deal with Fox Sports to distribute Uefa National Team Football marks an important milestone for the company as we work to differentiate our sports-first content portfolio and reinvent interactive sports and entertainment television.

"We are excited to partner with Fox Sports to bring some of the world’s most important and thrilling soccer events to consumers over the years to come," Gandler said.

In November, Fox Sports significantly bolstered its global soccer portfolio in the States by securing a six-year agreement with Uefa which includes Euro 2024 and Euro 2028.

"FuboTV and Fox Sports both share a strong passion for soccer, and what better way to celebrate this beautiful game than with some of the world's greatest tournaments," said Eric Shanks, Fox Sports chief executive and executive producer.

Fox's relative quietness in streaming opened the door for this sublicensing deal with fuboTV. Fox's Tubi has not garnered nearly the same sort of market presence as rival network services such as NBCUniversal's Peacock, Walt Disney Co.'s ESPN+, or ViacomCBS' Paramount+.

For fuboTV, however, it is another boost for the sports-focused streaming service and channel aggregator, which recently secured Premier League rights in Canada.
