Pay-television channel GolTV has secured the exclusive broadcast rights in the US to three pre-season events featuring five of European football’s leading clubs.
The football channel will air the July 24 meeting between Germany’s Uefa Champions League winner Bayern Munich and its semi-final victim, Spanish Liga champion Barcelona.
Either side of that encounter, GolTV will cover English Premier League outfit and Uefa Europa League winner Chelsea as Jose Mourinho begins his second spell in charge at Stamford Bridge with a three-match tour of Asia, taking in matches in Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia from July 17-25.
Additionally, the all-Italian TIM Trophy will air on GolTV on July 23. Traditional participants Juventus and AC Milan are joined by Serie A newcomer Sassuolo in the competition.
