The International Cricket Council has today (Wednesday) launched tender processes for the provision of production services and non-live programming services for its major events across the four-year period from 2016 to 2019.
The ICC is seeking proposals from production houses in respect of full live and highlights programming for the 2016 World Twenty20 in India, along with the 2017 Champions Trophy and 2019 World Cup in England and Wales.
The four-year period also includes the 2018 Cricket World Cup Qualifier and 2016 U19 World Cup in Bangladesh, the 2017 Women’s World Cup in England and Wales, the 2018 U19 World Cup in New Zealand and the 2018 Women’s World Twenty20 in the West Indies.
The ICC is also seeking proposals from production houses in respect of ICC event programming, including historical documentaries, event preview series and official films. The ICC’s regular magazine programme, ICC Cricket 360°, will also be included within the tender.
The ICC said: “Interested production houses are expected to have appropriate experience, infrastructure, staffing, resources, capability and financial standing to produce outstanding live cricket coverage.”
Applications from consortia or joint applications will not be entertained, with the process for production services open until 9am Dubai time on November 4. The non-live programming services tender will close on the following day.
