The IEC in Sports agency agreed a three-year deal, from 2012 to 2014, with the organisers of the Ostrava Golden Spike athletics meeting to distribute the global television rights for the event.
The Ostrava Golden Spike, which takes place in Ostrava, Czech Republic, is part of the International Association of Athletics Federations World Challenge series, the second-tier of international athletics meets beneath the Diamond League. The World Challenge series replaced the IAAF Grand Prix series, and its inaugural season was in 2010.
This year’s event in Ostrava Golden Spike takes place on Friday, May 25. Olympic triple-gold winning sprinter Usain Bolt is due to compete as part of his preparations for London 2012.
