International sports broadcaster Eurosport has acquired Champions Hockey League rights in Poland while Austrian public-service broadcaster ORF has also become a rights-holder for the European ice hockey competition.
Pay-television broadcaster Viasat has also acquired non-exclusive rights in Sweden and will share coverage with public-service broadcaster SVT.
The deals will run until at least the end of the 2017-18 season, which gets underway today (Thursday).
The agreements were brokered with the Infront Sports & Media agency, which markets the competition’s rights.
Infront added that 22 media companies will show coverage of the tournament in 53 territories worldwide.
