The International Softball Federation, the softball division of the World Baseball Softball Confederation, has said all matches from its 14th Women’s Softball World Championship will be streamed online via its official website on a subscription basis.
The 16-team national team tournament begins today in Haarlem, the Netherlands and its 67-game schedule runs through August 24.
Coverage streamed on the governing body’s ISFsoftball.org website will also be archived for on-demand access and the bronze and gold medal matches on the tournament’s final day will be carried on television networks.
These television deals include one with Japanese broadcaster TV Tokyo, which has secured exclusive rights across its reach of 32 million homes as Japan defends its title.
