The Kontinental Hockey League has launched an invitation to tender for commercial and media rights to the pan-European club ice hockey competition.
The bidding process will be conducted in Russian and split into two stages.
The first tender will cover the right to broadcast KHL games in regions across the world, with the exception of the Russian Federation.
The KHL will invite bids from sports marketing agencies that have proven experience in the sale of media and commercial rights, as well as experience in ice hockey. The tender will also be open to bids from companies interested in attracting, and liaising with, sponsors of the KHL.
The second tender will invite bids from a company that can create and deliver a television product that meets international standards of quality in the field of sports broadcasting. It will also involve the production and distribution of the league’s KHL-TV and KHL-TV HD channels.
The invitation to bid for both tenders will close on May 15.
