LAFC has become the first Major League Soccer team to create an official channel on short-form video platform TikTok.
According to a press release, it will feature exclusive highlights, behind-the-scenes player access and more, providing supporters further access to club content.
LAFC joins the likes of the National Football League, National Basketball Association, Major League Baseball, and international soccer clubs such as Liverpool FC and FC Barcelona on the popular social media app, which allows users to post up to 15-second video clips which are often accompanied by music and video effects.
TikTok has garnered a reported one billion downloads and, according to app analytics firm Sensor Tower, it was the third most-downloaded app worldwide in the first quarter of 2019, ahead of Facebook and Instagram.
