LaLiga, the organising body of the top division of Spanish football, has said it will broadcast a number of pre-season games featuring its clubs via its official channel on video-sharing platform YouTube.
LaLiga organises friendly games under the LFP World Challenge banner, with Real Sociedad, Eibar and Espanyol to be the first Primera División clubs to participate in its 2016 edition.
Real and Eibar will head to the United States, where both teams will play two fixtures, while Espanyol will play two games in Bolivia.
The first games to be broadcast live via YouTube will be San Jose Earthquakes v Real Sociedad, Houston Dynamo v Real Sociedad, Philadelphia Fury v Eibar, New York Cosmos v Eibar, Club Blooming v Espanyol and Club Jorge Wilstermann v Espanyol.
In addition to offering viewers live coverage of all six games, the channel will provide highlights packages and player interviews.
The LaLiga Promises tournament, which will be held from June 2-5 under the auspices of the LaLiga World programme, will also be broadcast on LaLiga’s YouTube channel. The tournament showcases the future stars from club academies.
