Italy’s Lega Serie A has issued a tender for the broadcast rights to the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana club football competitions for the three seasons spanning 2015-16 to 2017-18.
The tender, drawn up in association with the Infront Sports & Media agency, the league’s exclusive adviser for the national and international media rights to all its properties, has set a base price for the television rights to the two competitions of €84m ($95.5m) across the three seasons.
The tender, which has a deadline of March 6 for responses, has set a price of €1.56m across the three years for its digital rights.
The Coppa Italia is the annual knockout competition of Italian football, while the Supercoppa Italiana is the traditional season curtain-raiser played between the Serie A champion and victor of the Coppa Italia.
