French pay-television operator Ma Chaîne Sport has acquired rights for boxing events operated by Top Rank, the company owned by promoter Bob Arum.
The rights became available after the closure in June of pay-television channel Orange Sport.
According to French newspaper l’Equipe, the rights deal will run until the end of December 2012. It includes coverage of the middleweight title fight between Julio Cesar Chavez and Sergio Martinez this Saturday, September 15, as well as Filipino fighter Manny Pacquiao’s next bout against either Timothy Bradley or Juan Manuel Marquez on December 8.
Ma Chaîne Sport already has rights for fights staged by French promoter Gérard Teysseron until June 2013.
