French channel MCS Extreme, operated by pay-television operator Ma Chaîne Sport, has acquired rights for the X Games and Red Bull Air Race extreme sports events.
The deal for the X Games was agreed with international sports broadcaster ESPN, which operates the series, and will run for three years, from 2014 to 2016.
The deal for the Red Bull Air Race, struck directly with the operators of the air racing event, will cover all eight events this year.
In other news, the Prime Entertainment Group agency agreed a deal with MCS to handle sales of the broadcaster’s library of sports programming.
