The Mediaset Premium pay-television service of Italian commercial broadcaster Mediaset has acquired exclusive rights to the NFL American football league.
The three-year deal will commence with the forthcoming 2015 NFL season and run through to the end of the 2017 campaign.
Under the deal, Mediaset Premium will broadcast live 57 regular-season games, along with the play-offs and the Super Bowl. Games will be aired live on Thursday, Sunday and Monday evenings, with repeats broadcast on the following evenings.
Mediaset Premium’s NFL broadcasts will commence with Pittsburgh Steelers’ trip to face the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium on September 10.
