Modern Times Group, the multi-territory commercial and pay-television broadcaster, has renewed its exclusive rights deals in the Nordics and Baltic states for a number of golf properties, including the Ryder Cup and two of the sport’s four majors, the British Open and the US PGA Championship, until 2015.
Under a number of new agreements signed with the Nordic arm of the IMG Media agency, MTG has retained the rights to the PGA European Tour, the World Golf Championships, Ryder Cup, The Open, US PGA Championship, the Asian Tour, and the women’s British Open.
MTG broadcasts its portfolio of golf rights, which also includes the US PGA Tour until 2015, on pay-TV channel Viasat Golf.
