Hungarian commercial broadcast group TV2 has acquired rights in the country to the MotoGP motorcycling championship.
The deal, the length of which was not disclosed, will begin with the 2017 season. TV2 will exploit the rights via its newly launched Spíler TV pay-television platform.
Spíler TV will show live coverage of each race and qualifying session during the 2017 season, with the TV2 channel to broadcast free-to-air highlights shows following each race.
TV2 struck the agreement with Dorna Sports, MotoGP’s commercial rights-holder.
