Miami-based digital media platform Motorsport Network has appointed Matt Young as an executive vice-president and global chief revenue officer, while Gary Learner has also joined as an executive vice-president and global chief technology officer.
Young joins from Verizon Media, where he led its national business unit with a focus on entertainment, gaming and media customers. In his new role, he will lead efforts to develop Motorsport Network’s digital offering.
Learner joins Motorsport Network having previously served as chief technology officer and general manager at Volicon, a Verizon Media company. At Motorsport Network, Learner will focus on new product and technology innovation.
Motorsport Network, whose assets include Motorsport.com and Autosport.com, said it generated a record-breaking 340 million page views in September. In 2019 it has registered a 145-per-cent year-on-year growth of users for its automotive properties.
Following his appointment, Young said: “Motorsport Network is one of the few companies that can provide a powerful mix of premium content, data and fandom at a global scale.”
In April, Motorsport Network named Yavor Efremov to the role of group chief executive.
Motorsport Network was born in 2015 and bought Haymarket Media Group’s motor racing titles in 2016.
