German-based pay-television broadcaster Motorvision TV has moved to expand its global reach by securing new carriage deals in Serbia and Taiwan, as well as extending existing agreements in France, Slovenia and Romania.
The Broadband TV News website said Taiwanese telecommunications company Chunghwa Telecom will offer Motorvision TV in the country via its MOD multimedia on-demand platform.
Motorvision TV has also struck a deal for Balkans-based telco Telekom Srbija to distribute the channel in Serbia.
Meanwhile, Motorvision TV has extended its reach in France by striking a deal with national telco Free to carry the channel in HD.
In addition, Motorvision TV renewed a contract for Slovenian telco Telekom Slovenije to continue offering the channel through its Mega HD package. Motorvision TV also extended an existing deal with Orange TV in Romania.
The motorsport broadcaster now reaches more than 9m subscribers in 26 countries on four continents. The channel is exclusively available via pay-television operator Sky Deutschland in its home country.
