The MP & Silva agency has struck an agreement to distribute the Italian Volleyball League’s worldwide media rights for four years, from 2012-13 to 2015-16.
The deal covers all territories outside Italy and includes rights across cable, satellite, betting, terrestrial, IPTV and mobile platforms.
MP & Silva will offer a package that includes rights for up to 16 games from the regular season and play-off tournament of Serie A1, the top division of volleyball in Italy. The package will also include four games per season from the Coppa Italia A1 knockout tournament.
“The sales of our international television rights have really increased in the last 15 years,” Serie A1 president Diego Mosna said. “Apart from football, among the Italian club sports we are the favourite of the broadcasters outside our borders.”
