NBC Sports launches short-form video initiative

The NBC Sports Digital division of media company NBCUniversal has launched a new project that focuses on the production of short-form original digital content for various platforms.

NBC Sports Digital Shorts will feature short-form original content such as scenes and interviews from NBC Sports Group’s range of linear and digital production teams, as well as various highlights and clips from sports events.

Content will be made available via the NBCSports.com website as well as the NBC Sports Live Extra live streaming product for desktop, mobile devices, tablets and connected televisions.

NBC Sports Digital Shorts content will also be accessible via various NBC Sports Digital distribution partners including Yahoo.com and Watchable, a new short-form video product from US media company Comcast and pay-per-view platform Xfinity.
