NBC Sports has extended a programming and developmental partnership with Poker Central, the parent company of OTT subscription video service PokerGO, in a multiyear deal through 2022.
As part of the deal, several of the world’s largest high-stakes poker tournaments that are owned and operated by Poker Central will be incorporated into NBC Sports platforms. This includes the Super High Roller Bowl, US Poker Open, and Poker Masters.
In addition, the partnership, which began in 2017, will allow Poker Central and NBC Sports to jointly develop new programs and formats. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“We want to continue to see our major tournaments and poker programming reach the greatest number of sports fans possible, globally,” said Poker Central chief business offer JR McCabe. “Renewing our partnership with NBC Sports will allow us to further engage with both our passionate poker fans, as well as those who are entertained by the sport.”
