The Polish football league, the Ekstraklasa, has agreed a domestic rights deal with NC Plus, the pay-television platform formed through the merger last year of pay-television operators Cyfra Plus and N.
The deal will run for two years, from 2013-14 to 2014-15.
“We are proud to announce that NC Plus subscribers will be able to watch all matches of the Ekstraklasa until the middle of 2015,” NC Plus chief executive Julien Verley said. “Today’s agreement is a confirmation of our commitment as a platform to the development of Polish football.”
The league’s chief executive, Boguslaw Biszof, added: “This deal expands the potential access to Ekstraklasa matches. At least one million subscribers will have the opportunity to watch the Ekstraklasa, which will enhance the visibility of the competition.”
Under the deal, NC Plus will also sponsor all of the league’s teams.
