New York Racing Association signs extensive rights agreement with Fox Sports

The Fox Sports division of US network Fox has entered into a multi-year rights partnership with horseracing body the New York Racing Association.

Under the agreement, Fox Sports will broadcast live events from New York’s Saratoga Race Course on its FS2 channel. The coverage will also be available via the Fox Sports Go mobile application and on Foxsports.com.

The agreement commences next month, with Fox Sports set to broadcast over 80 hours of live coverage over the course of NYRA’s seven-week meet. NYRA said the FS2 channel would broadcast more horseracing coverage than all other US television networks combined as part of the extensive deal.

FS2’s coverage of the 2016 meet will begin on July 22 and run through until September 5, with racing set to take place six days a week.
