The National Hockey League is poised to bring in Turner Sports as its secondary broadcast partner in the United States in a seven-year deal worth approximately $1.6bn (€1.32bn) after ending its long-running agreement with NBC Sports.
According to multiple reports, NBC Sports has pulled out of the bidding for the league's secondary rights package, opening the door for Turner to step in to secure a package from 2021-22 through 2027-28.
