Greek pay-television broadcaster Nova has agreed a three-season extension to its rights deal for the Euroleague continental club basketball competition.
Nova’s existing deal was scheduled to run through the 2016-17 season, but under the fresh agreement with Euroleague Basketball and the IMG agency it will continue to broadcast the organisation’s top competition through to the end of the 2019-20 campaign.
Nova has broadcast the Euroleague since 2005 and its new deal will also grant the Novasports channels the rights to broadcast the weekly EuroLeague highlights show.
Panathinaikos and Olympiacos are set to compete in the 2016-17 Euroleague season, with the former club having reached the playoff stage of last season’s competition before being defeated by Spain’s Saski Baskonia.
