North American pay-television broadcaster One World Sports has signed a multi-year, multi-platform carriage agreement with US pay-television operator Charter Communications.
The deal means One World Sports’ reach increases to within the region of 30 million homes, giving Charter customers access to more than 3,000 hours of annual sporting content.
“This is a major step forward in delivering on our key business objective of expanding our reach around the country,” Alexander Brown, president and chief executive of One World Sports, said.
Allan Singer, Charter’s senior vice-president of programming, added: “One World Sports offers the types of sports programming that are of increasing interest to the multicultural and millennial audiences in our markets.”
One World Sports will be available in Charter’s all-digital markets by September.
