Asia-focused sports broadcaster One World Sports acquired exclusive North American rights for the inaugural season of the Hockey India League, the new franchise-based hockey competition starting today (Monday).
One World sports will show live coverage of all 34 games, including the final of the tournament on February 10, as well as full repeats of the matches.
The broadcaster agreed the deal directly with the league, which is operated by the Hockey India national body and sanctioned by the International Hockey Federation, the sport’s global governing body.
Narinder Batra, secretary general of Hockey India and the league’s chairman, said: “We are very pleased to be available live throughout the USA and Canada, thanks to One World Sports.”
