Polish internet company Onet has linked up with pan-European sports broadcaster Eurosport to launch a new sports website.
The Eurosport.onet.pl website will go live on August 27, replacing the Sport.onet.pl and Eurosport.pl internet domains.
Eurosport and Onet will share advertising sales and editorial responsibilities for the new website, which will offer video footage as well as about 5,000 articles per month.
Onet chief executive Robert Bednarski said that the new website would be able to deliver more than twice the amount of video content that is currently available on the existing Onet sports website.
“All of the content, including video, will be available on mobile,” he said.
“In terms of pure business benefits, we look forward to increased coverage, visitor frequency and duration of use,” he added. “We expect a better product, so we expect financial benefits in advertising from the increased traffic.”
