Ooyala names Huberman as chief executive

Online video technology company Ooyala has appointed Jonathan Huberman as its new chief executive.

Prior to joining Ooyala, Huberman had a spell as chief executive of software company Syncplicity.

Huberman was also previously chief executive of public safety software provider Tiburon and spent time as president of EMC’s consumer and small business division.

Stephen Elop, chairman of the board at Ooyala, said: “Huberman has a stand-out record of delivering profound growth for cloud-based technologies in complex industries and is a well-suited leader for Ooyala.”

Ooyala holds contracts with sports properties such as the Women's Tennis Association and Australian horseracing organisation Racing Victoria.
