Orange Sport picks up FA Cup and England football rights in Poland

Polish pay-television broadcaster Orange Sport has acquired exclusive rights in the country for the English FA Cup knockout football tournament and England national football team home matches.

The deal started in time for Orange Sport to provide live coverage of Manchester United v Chelsea in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup yesterday (Sunday), but the length of the agreement has not been disclosed.

Orange Sport struck the deal with the Advisers Media International agency, which sells the rights in eastern Europe on behalf of the English Football Association, the sport’s governing body in England.

The agency’s owner, Robert Pickles, said he was “very pleased to start what will no doubt be the beginning of a long partnership and mutually beneficial partnership with Orange Sport.”
