OTE snaps up Formula E coverage in Greece

Pay-television broadcaster OTE has acquired rights in Greece for the Formula E Championship electric car-racing series.

The deal will cover the inaugural 2014-15 season of the series, which is operated by the FIA, motorsport’s global governing body.

The coverage will include live and delayed coverage as well as preview and highlights shows.

The Asset OgilvyEntertainment agency agreed the deal with OTE after striking a deal with the MP & Silva agency, the championship’s international rights distributor.

Asset OgilvyEntertainment has also awarded free-to-air and online highlights rights to commercial broadcaster Alpha TV and the Newsauto.gr website.
