Digital sports media group Perform has agreed a deal with Chinese search engine company Beijing Baidu Netcom Science and Technology to launch its goal.com football news and video website in the country.
The Goal Baidu website will feature content from football events around the world, including the Chinese Super League domestic club competition.
Sports data company Opta, which is owned by Perform, will provide live data feeds and updates on various events. Content will also be made available through Goal Baidu’s social media platforms.
Baidu’s Beijing Lehecai Technology subsidiary will operate online advertising sales and marketing activities for the new website.
