Sky Deutschland has agreed a deal with Perform that will allow the digital sports company’s ePlayer video-on-demand service to show selected content from the pay-television broadcaster’s sports channels in Germany and Austria.
Sky’s branded sports channels will be available on ePlayer, with highlights clips and sports news clips available on the service until the end of the 2012-13 football season. The ePlayer will also offer Sky’s coverage of the DFB-Pokal German football cup competition, the Wimbledon tennis tournament and clips from Sky Sport News HD, Sky’s rolling sports news channel in Germany.
The Mediasports agency, Perform’s advertising sales agency in Germany, will sell advertising for Sky’s content on the ePlayer service.
“This partnership complements all the other great content we are already streaming and distributing on ePlayer,” Manuel Lopez, managing director of Perform’s Germany division, said. “The additional highlights from Sky’s sports programming ensures that we are providing the best and most relevant sports content for brands to help engage with online fans.”
