The Pitch International agency has agreed a deal with Confederação Brasilera de Futebol, the Brazilian football confederation, to organise and sell the media and commercial rights for all international friendly matches involving the Brazil national team.
The deal will run for 10 years, from October 16 of this year through to the start of the 2022 Fifa World Cup.
Pitch will replace the Kentaro agency, which has marketed the rights for Brazil friendly matches since 2006.
Pitch will be responsible for all organisational and commercial aspects of the friendly games in Brazil and abroad, including media rights distribution, sponsorship and stadium signage sales and ticketing.
“We have been impressed with their innovative ideas, enthusiasm and extensive network of international football and commercial contacts and look forward to a long and successful working relationship with them,” the confederation’s president, Jose Maria Marin, said.
Pitch managing director Jonathan Rogers added: “We are extremely proud to count the CBF as a new long-term partner of Pitch and will work tirelessly to deliver on their goals and objectives. This partnership also demonstrates the continued expansion of the Pitch business and highlights our growing sponsorship rights and event management business.”
