Production company Plazamedia has been commissioned by ZDF to produce the German public-service broadcaster’s coverage of the 2012-13 Uefa Champions League campaign.
Plazamedia said it would provide production services for ZDF’s host broadcasting of Wednesday evening Champions League matches in Germany and would also provide “production technology for the unilateral ZDF productions at home and abroad.”
A total of 18 live broadcasts are covered by the deal, including ZDF’s coverage of the Uefa Super Cup game between Chelsea and Atlético Madrid in Monaco on August 31, the company added.”
“Plazamedia has been producing Uefa Champions League matches for over 10 years,” Plazamedia chief executive Florian Nowosad said. “The deal with ZDF is evidence of our knowhow and experience in technically complex football productions and underlines our market position as an expert full-service provider.”
