Sportdigital acquires live Polish football league rights

German sports broadcaster Sportdigital acquired rights for the Polish Ekstraklasa, Poland’s top-tier football league, in a two-and-a-half-year deal from now until the end of the 2013-14 season.

Sportdigital will show three live matches per week, on Monday, Friday and Sunday evenings.

The deal includes internet rights, with live streaming of matches available at a cost of €1.99 ($2.60) per match.

Sportdigital’s coverage of the league will begin on February 19, with the match between Gornik Zabrze and Legia Warsaw.

The deal was brokered by the Ufa Sports agency.
