PLL Championship Series secures four games on main NBC network

The Premier Lacrosse League has secured four games of the upcoming PLL Championship Series on the main NBC network, as well as 10 games on cable network NBCSN.

According to a press release, this will mark the most professional lacrosse games on broadcast television in the United States over a two-week span.

In the absence of a traditional season due to the global Covid-19 pandemic, the Premier Lacrosse League is staging the PLL Championship Series in Salt Lake City, Utah, from July 25-August 9.

The quarantined tournament will be broadcast across NBC networks, helping to fill the the US network’s programming void from the rescheduled 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

In addition to the games on linear television, direct-to-consumer streaming service NBC Sports Gold will live stream all 20 games commercial-free, with six games available exclusively for subscribers.

The four games on the main NBC network, include the tournament opener between Whipsnakes LC and Redwoods LC on July 25 at 4pm ET, as well as the championship game on August 9 at 12.30pm ET.

Earlier this week, the league named Mendi as the official CBD partner of the upcoming PLL Championship Series.

The cannabis-based pain management and recovery brand was founded by former women’s soccer pro Rachael Rapinoe, while her twin sister Megan Rapinoe – the United States women’s national soccer team superstar – serves as a board adviser, strategic partner, and athlete ambassador.

As part of the partnership, the PLL and its medical team will feature and incorporate Mendi CBD products during the PLL Championship Series.
