Portuguese public-service broadcaster RTP has acquired domestic live rights for the country’s national team home and away qualifying matches for the 2014 Fifa World Cup.
The deal between RTP and the Olivedesportos agency also includes rights for the national U-21 team, according to Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manhã.
The first game covered by the agreement is Portugal’s visit to Luxembourg for a 2014 World Cup qualifier on September 7.
RTP already has the media rights in Portugal for the World Cup, which will take place in Brazil.
