The IMG agency has appointed Christian Saloman as managing director of its business operations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Saloman had been carrying out the role on a transitional basis for the last two months following Matthias Pietza's decision to step down as IMG’s senior vice-president and managing director of Germany and Austria.
Saloman previously served as senior vice-president and head of IMG Media across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Prior to joining IMG in 2008, Saloman served as senior vice-president/director of media at the Infront Sports & Media agency. He also previously served as manager of media rights at the Kirch Group.
