International sports broadcaster Setanta Sports has struck a deal with satellite operator SES to begin broadcasting two of its channels in 13 countries across Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
The broadcaster’s Setanta Sports and Setanta Sports Plus channels will now be available to audiences in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
The channels will broadcast coverage from major sports events such as the Italian Serie A and Spanish Liga top-tier club football competitions, the Formula One motor-racing championship and North American ice hockey league the NHL.
Both Setanta Sports and Setanta Sports Plus will be provided in high-definition and are now available on all key cable, DTH and IPTV platforms within the 13 countries.
