Australian commercial broadcaster Seven is set to table an offer to horse racing pay-television channel TVN to acquire rights for races held in New South Wales and Victoria.
The rights will run for 10 years and will be worth more than A$600m (€415m/$533m), according to Fairfax Media.
TVN currently pays Seven more than A$2m per year for 28 Saturday meetings to be shown on free-to-air television.
However, the proposed deal would feature the acquisition of a wagering licence.
TVN could move to Seven’s digital platform, opening up the service to a wider audience.
