Swedish public-service broadcaster SVT has acquired rights for the Ski Classics long-distance skiing championship.
The length of the agreement was not disclosed, but the deal will at least cover the 2016-17 Ski Classics season, which got underway at the weekend with the Prologue Pontresina event in Switzerland.
SVT’s coverage will begin with Saturday’s La Sgambeda Livigno event in Italy.
The agreement with SVT is the fifth signed this season with a public-service broadcaster, with deals having already been penned with NRK in Norway, Finnish operator YLE, TVP in Poland and Czech TV.
