Pay-television broadcaster Sky Deutschland has retained domestic rights for the Formula One motor-racing championship in Germany and Austria.
The agreement with Formula One Management, the championship’s commercial rights-holder, will run for three years, from 2013 until 2015.
Sky will provide live coverage of all practice sessions, qualifying sessions and races.
The rights cover all platforms, allowing Sky to show coverage on its mobile and internet platforms.
Last week, German sports broadcaster Sport1 acquired free-to-air rights for the next three seasons of Formula One, from 2013 to 2015, in a sub-licensing deal with commercial broadcaster RTL.
